The Imperialist forces led by Leonidas II have invaded Pallion, the capital of the Lionarchy. The attack comes as a surprise and the Royalist Armed Forces (RAF) are scrabbling their forces together to start a counter-offensive. Leeuwtje of Orleons has responded with the following statement:
The attack on Pallion was unjust, and we have done nothing to provoke these Imperialists. I will gather the armies to start a counter offensive. This is unacceptable behaviour.
According to experts, the reason the Imperialists have made such a bold move all of a sudden is because the Fangtooth forces that were initially guarding Royalist territory have moved towards the Royal Primate to defeat the Tijgeron-government there. Because of the lack of extra protection, the RAF was not able to defend its territory well. As a result, the heavily armed Imperialist forces have been able to make one huge push towards the capital, which ended up being successful. Whether the Imperialist forces can fully take over the country is unclear. Their push towards Pallion was successful but they haven't made any moves towards any other regions of the country. The other insurgencies in the country have not revolted against the government either.
Leonidas II has now proclaimed himself as "true emperor of the Lionarchy". He claims his forces entering the capital means the official government is now led by his Imperialist organizations. Leonidas II has also said he dissolved all other political parties other than the Imperialist Brotherhood and the Fatah Accord. However, the leaders of these banned political parties have refuted this and they fled to Manascus, the largest city of the Lionarchy. Leeuwtje of Orleons, who is also present in Manascus, stated he does not recognize the removal of the political parties. He also said he knows the Tigerium is currently busy with Tijgeron in the Royal Primate, which means they cannot rely on the Fangtooth forces in the near future. Leeuwtje seems to be planning a counter-offensive regardlessly.
