Tijgeron, the son of the former Pantherian emperor Pantheron, has invaded the Royal Primate with his hordes. He challenged the Primator's Strongest, Goros, to a duel and won using dark magic. Tijgeron declared himself the new Primate's Strongest, the head of state of the Royal Primate. It sparked widespread controversy in the country. Several primates have said Tijgeron is a panther and not a primate, making him ineligible for Primatorial rule. They also stated "Tijgeron used cowardly magic" instead of "brute strength", saying it "doesn't show truly who is the strongest". Others say Tijgeron won and by the rules he is the official new Primate's Strongest.
International condemnation against Tijgeron
World leaders reacted with shock to the developments. Tigerium officials have denounced the invasion and threatened Tijgeron by announcing that if he does not withdraw within 48 hours, the Tigerium will invade the Royal Primate and establish a new government. The statement cultivated widespread rumours which several officials seem to confirm. Django, the current supreme leader of Banania, will supposedly take over leadership of the country with coalition support. Both Tijgeron and Goros have spoken out against the idea. Tijgeron claims he aims to establish a new hegemony "under Panther rule". He calls all Roarists and Imperialists in the Lionarchy, the Rayaki government and Gray Triumvirate to "side against the evil Tigerium". He calls this takeover the "first step to destroy the Tigerium hegemony". The Roarists under Safez of Roarborne and the Gray Triumvirate have not made any public statements or taken action. However, both the Imperialists under Leonidas I and the Rayaki government have reportedly already made moves against Tijgeron. Imperialists have seized northern regions in the Royal Primate whereas Rayaki forces have allegedly invaded the Kumate region, known for its significant amount of resources.
Rise of an armed rebellion
Goros has rallied armed forces under his command to depose Tijgeron and reinstate his old government. The hordes and the primates loyal to Tijgeron have seized key cities and regions, though the capital remains disputed. The Imperialists have already publicly stated to support Goros.
Relations between the Tigerium and the government under Goros had already been sour. The nations were officially at peace but clashes often occurred, with the Tigerium-backed Fangtooth Clan and Goros-backed gorillas attacking each other. Experts say that due to their hostility towards each other, the idea of putting Django in charge of the country with Tigerium support is a likely move.
Currently, Tijgeron's hordes seem to be vying for control of the Royal Primate, though receiving no external support. Other states including Rayak hope to grow closer to the Tigerium if they oppose Tijgeron. More updates will follow.
